Carby Privacy Policy
Carby is an iOS vehicle tracker by Usama Naufer. This policy explains what information Carby handles, how that information is used, and the choices you have.
Information You Add
Carby stores the vehicle information you choose to enter, which may include vehicle names and details, odometer readings, fuel logs, expense records, maintenance history, reminders, trips, shops, mechanics, fault codes, notes, receipt images, document images, PDFs, exports, and backups.
Camera, Photos, and Location
Carby may request camera or photo library access so you can attach vehicle photos, receipts, and documents. Carby may request location access if you choose to tag fuel stations, trips, or other vehicle records with location information. You can control these permissions in iOS Settings.
Storage and Sync
Your Carby data is primarily stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync or iCloud backups, Apple may process and sync your Carby data through your iCloud account according to Apple's privacy practices and your device settings.
Exports and Backups
Carby can create CSV exports, JSON backups, and PDF reports from your vehicle data. These files are created only when you request them. Once exported or shared outside Carby, those files are controlled by the apps, services, or people you share them with.
Purchases and Entitlements
If Carby offers subscriptions, lifetime access, trials, or other in-app purchases, purchase processing is handled by Apple and may be supported by third-party entitlement services. These services may process purchase status, product identifiers, device or account identifiers, and related transaction information needed to unlock paid features and prevent abuse.
Analytics and Diagnostics
Carby may use Apple or third-party analytics and crash reporting tools to understand app performance, diagnose crashes, improve features, and maintain purchase entitlements. These tools may receive technical information such as device type, iOS version, app version, crash logs, performance events, and general interaction events. Carby does not use analytics to sell your personal vehicle records.
Support Messages
If you contact support, your email address and the information you include in your message will be used to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve Carby. Please avoid sending sensitive documents unless they are needed for support.
Your Choices and Deletion
You can edit or delete records inside Carby. You can revoke permissions such as camera, photos, or location in iOS Settings. You can delete Carby from your device to remove locally stored app data, subject to your iCloud, backup, and device settings. Children
Carby is not directed to children under 13, and it is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as Carby changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
